All these things that a true Robbie Williams tribute would appreciate, Rob says: "I could only perform a show that I as a Robbie fan would want or expect to see and a show that the great man himself could watch and appreciate as a fitting and authentic tribute to him. There is of course only one Robbie Williams but I work my ass off to give my audience the next best thing and without blowing my own trumpet, I know I do a good job and have many people who have seen the show to back me up on that".
Rob also adds: "as well as doing this for a living, I am a big fan of Robbie so I try to educate people about Robbie and put the show across as well as I can so people who aren’t necessarily fans will realize what a great showman and performer he is and also listen to some of the wonderful songs that he has written on his albums including tracks that people will not of heard unless they went out and bought it".

How it all started – Robs idea to become an RW tribute started while he was out traveling in Australia when he won a Karaoke competition final by singing a Robbie song called Better Man, (which can be heard in Audio) a song from the album ´Sing when your winning´ from that day on Rob Idol was born and he has never looked back.
After leaving Australia, he perfected his moves and mannerisms by studying Robbie’s DVD’s and going to watch him live at Knebworth which he says was "the greatest day of my life!"
He then move to Tenerife and spent 2 years working as a tribute on the Island before being snapped up by Europe’s biggest entertainment agency Romantic – Corporate where he spent 2 successful summer seasons as their Robbie tribute in Mallorca in a show that included backing singers, dancers and live musicians, then spending the winter months touring the Canary Islands.
Rob then signed a 2 year exclusive contract with top UK agent Dansatak as Robbie Williams and then later developing his Swing Show.

He boasts to have played shows in England, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Channel Islands, Balearic Islands, Germany, France, Italy, Sweden, Spain, Canary Islands and even as far as Australia and Brazil.
In over 6 years to date of performing the show he has performed well over 1000 shows which is more shows performing as Robbie than Robbie himself and to an estimated total audience of over 2 million ranging from intimate gigs of less than 100 to an outdoor concert which was over 10,000.
